Safety Training might be a new band, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t cut their teeth over the years. The band’s members boast a diverse history playing in the Alabama and Florida Gulf scene, spanning the likes of progressive rock, 2000s emo and alternative, and even metal and hardcore. Now, led by vocalist/guitarist Nick Rhodes, Safety Training is paving their way in the indie scene with a sound that combines the complex melodies of post-hardcore and indie rock with Rhodes’ trademark vocal style that feels unashamedly from the late 00s. Bound by friendships that date back decades, Safety Training is dedicated to putting their sonic stamp on the Gulf Coast scene.
